===other news and reminders====
Book release moved up to: August 1st
That’s right! We moved the book release up to August 1st (rather than Sept, as originally planned). This way, we can have a great opening month for the book, before we get distracted by ArtPrize in September.
The print edition of the book will be only $6.95, available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other online outlets. We are going to talk to book stores in the Grand Rapids area about stocking The Savior Machine (all book stores will be able to order it for you).
RiverFront Cafe will have the book stocked for sale! A big thank you to Emily at RiverFront for this.
There will also be a $10.95 special edition of the book, containing over 10 color illustrations be the author — also available in August.
We will be sure to keep a list of all the places hip enough to carry The Savior Machine, for your convenience.
Mr. Spookity Indie Film Showcase was a great night
The Mr. Spookity Indie Film Showcase was amazing.The turnout wa
s massive at the Sazerac Lounge, with all the seats and tables being occupied. It was standing room only by the time the show got fully under way. SUCCESS!
Jason Roth did a great job on the promo spot for The Savior Machine, and we heard a lot of great feedback on it. Jason gets all the credit for that promo — it’s all him. As soon as we are able, we’ll have that promo available on YouTube and linked up here.
Misty Em tended the merch tables, and enjoyed visiting with people who stopped over.
A big thanks to all who stopped over! In the end, the event was great only because the people the people attending were great.
ArtPrize
ArtPrize is happenin’ in late Sept. Before you know it, the city of Grand Rapids will be covered in artwork, and crowds of people will take to the streets to see it.
Artist / venue matching ends Thursday. Already there are more artists set for ArtPrize 2010 than last year. Daniel is be one of well over 1,200 artists participating. It will be a great time, with a lot of talent on public display. You can see the list of all ArtPrize artists, and view details about their work, at the webiste.
You can support Daniel’s book — and his statement that a book is in fact a work of art — by voting on Daniel’s ArtPrize entry. Details on voting can be found at the ArtPrize website. You do need to be in the city to register for voting (you don’t need to be a resident). Registration to vote is free.
As always, be sure and stay tuned for more. if you haven’t yet, sign up for the email news letter for the latest. Also, check out Daniel’s facebook page, and Twitter feed.
