Book out in Aug, ArtPrize, and other updates

The book release date of Aug 1st is right around the corner. This is truly exciting, and as soon as possible I will be talking with Emily at The RiverFront Cafe here in Grand Rapids about stocking copies of the book in her store.

Of course, you can buy the book on-line. It’s already up at Barnes & Noble and Amazon — so you’ll be able to have it sent to your home as soon as Aug 1 rolls round.

ArtPrize is also just around the corner, and I am busy getting ready for that. The Savior Machine is my ArtPrize entry. A copy of the book will be available at The RiverFront Cafe in downtown Grand Rapids for anyone and everyone to look at, to sign, leave comments, etc.

And of course, I do hope that you will vote for The Savior Machine.

In other news, I’ll have an installation at The RiverFront Cafe. Artwork, primarily inspired by The Savior Machine, will be on show for a full month. probably this will be in either October or November of this year.

A short fiction piece of mine was recently published in Fifth Estate Magazine. This is an anti-establishment magazine, now in it’s 45th year. The focus of the publication is to ask questions, especially to question assumptions that we make about authority.

The worst thing a society can do is to create an environment where authority is not taken into question. My short story is kind-of about that — it’s titled “God: Unplugged.”

I really hope to meet you all at The RiverFront Cafe, either for ArtPrize or at the showing later this fall. Thanks in advance for your support. And more than anything, thank you for reading.
