His published short stories currently include the flash-fiction story “Chewing” (as Daniel La Ponsie), published in the Spring 2010 issue of BURST e-Zine – one of the first web magazines to be entirely optimized for the iPhone.
His published books include 2010′s ‘The Savior Machine: A Brief Collection of Weird Fiction.’
Paine’s publicly viewed artwork includes participation in the 2000 UICA juried Holiday Artist’s Market. He has more recently participated in 2010′s ArtPrize, a “radically open art competition” held each year in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
D.E. Paine is currently living in Michigan with his wife and kids.
